Clinical Supervision
Supervision for psychologists, provisional psychologists and allied health clinicians.
We provide clinical and psychological supervision for registered and provisional psychologists, counsellors and allied health practitioners — including supervision for AHPRA registration requirements and ongoing professional development.
Supervision covers case conceptualisation, treatment planning, ethical and risk decision-making, and the parts of the work that are harder to name: countertransference, caseload strain and the drift toward burnout.
Dr. Peter Saunders is a clinical psychologist, lecturer and active researcher; supervision draws on both clinical practice and current evidence.
What to expect
We agree a supervision contract, goals and a predictable format at the outset, with room for whatever is urgent that week. Sessions cover case conceptualisation, treatment planning and ethical and risk decision-making, alongside the parts that are harder to name.
How many sessions will I need?
Supervision is ongoing rather than a fixed course. Provisional psychologists meet the frequency their registration pathway requires; experienced practitioners commonly book fortnightly or monthly.

Does this supervision count toward AHPRA registration?
Supervision for registration purposes is provided for provisional psychologists and registrars. Tell us which pathway you are on when you enquire so we can confirm the arrangement and frequency your registration requires.
Do you supervise practitioners other than psychologists?
Yes. Counsellors and allied health practitioners are supervised alongside registered and provisional psychologists.
Is group supervision available?
Yes, in small peer groups, in person in the Melbourne CBD or by video. One-to-one supervision is also available.
Can supervision cover vicarious trauma and caseload strain?
Yes. Countertransference, caseload strain and drift toward burnout are treated as core supervision content rather than an afterthought.
