Where we are, precisely
Our rooms are on Level 10 at 53 Queen Street, on the block between Flinders Lane and Collins Street. It is a quiet end of the grid — close enough to the Collins Street offices to make a lunch-hour appointment realistic, far enough off Swanston Street that you are not walking through a crowd on the way out of a session.
The building has a staffed ground-floor lobby and lifts to Level 10. Our waiting area is small and private rather than a shared medical reception.
Getting here
Flinders Street Station is a short walk south, and Southern Cross, Melbourne Central, Parliament and Flagstaff are all on the City Loop. Collins Street trams — routes 11, 12, 48 and 109 — stop a block north of the door, and the Flinders Street trams, routes 70 and 75, stop a block south.
Every one of those tram stops sits inside Melbourne's Free Tram Zone, which covers the whole Hoddle Grid, so travel to us by tram within the city costs nothing and you do not touch on. Trains and buses are not covered by the zone.
Appointments that fit a working day
Most of the people we see in the CBD work in it. Sessions run 50 minutes, which fits inside a lunch break with time to walk each way, and we hold early-morning and late-afternoon slots for people who would rather not take time out of the middle of the day.
If a week goes sideways, the same appointment can usually be moved to secure video rather than cancelled — same clinician, same session, from a meeting room or from home.
Who you would see
Dr. Peter Saunders is a clinical psychologist working with anxiety, depression, PTSD and social difficulties. Amelia McDermott is a registered psychologist working with anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem and nature-based wellbeing. Rebecca Staub is a family and systemic psychotherapist working with couples, parents and families.
You see the same clinician throughout. If we are not the right fit — because of availability, or because another service suits the problem better — we will say so at the first appointment rather than at the sixth.
